Looking for a Card Show?
March is typically a strong month for the hobby. We are going to three shows this month and would love to meet you!
Kokomo Show
We absolutely love that there is a solid show getting underway in our hometown. We were blown away by how well this show went last month, despite terrible weather. This show takes place at Slater's Sports Cards on the East side of 31 across from Dairy Queen! Mark Slater and Kyle Roe run this show. Mark has a great background in promoting (he also runs Colosseum Combat ) and organizing events. There will be someone signing at most shows, including new hoosier UFC Fighter Cameron VanCamp and former Cincinnati Reds pitcher Dan Dumoulin who will be signing tomorrow!
J&J All Star Sports Card Show
I have been going to Jeff's shows since I was still playing football in college. It is at this show where I met hobby legend Andy Albert - owner of Indy Card Exchange. Andy is a fellow Taylor University grad, so we hit it off immediately and have been family ever since! When I think about this show, I think about Family. This monthly show has had many of the same vendors for nearly a decade and beyond. We know each other well, and Jeff Meyrose does a great job of making sure we are able to be as good of vendors as we can be. Located in Fishers, the foot traffic is always there. Whether you are buying or selling, the J&J All Star Sports Card Show is a great opportunity. Pops will be representing Brothers In Cards this month on 3/19 while Andy and I will be up in Chicago.
Chicago Spectacular
If you have never been to a Chicago Spectacular show, it is the closest thing to The National that I have ever been to. It's actually located in the same building as The National. It starts Friday and goes through Sunday. I highly encourage anyone who plans on attending to buy your tickets online. You can learn more about the Chicago Spectacular here: https://chicagosportsspectacular.com
Their next show will be in June, and we will not be able to attend, as J&J Sports Cards and Indy Card Exchange have organized the Midwest Monster which is going to be loaded with big time vendors like RbiCru7, CardCollector2, Kentucky Road Show, and many more!
Since all of these big dogs will be in Indianapolis at the time of the June Chicago show, I would venture to say that this March Chicago show is going to be significantly better than the next.
Bee Sports Card Fest
Brad Beeman decided less than two years ago that he was going to try to get a show going up in Shipshewana, Indiana. I went to the very first one as a buyer and was impressed. Now, the show is insane. More than 150 tables will be set up, a food truck will be sitting outside, and the amount of collectors from all over the midwest come in bunches. CardCollector2 will be there making his rounds as well!
There is also a Trade Night set up the night before (sponsored by Sportscard Machine). There is even a fun Scavenger Hunt set up for kids (organized by Reckless Cards). The Bee Sports Card Fest comes up every quarter, and we always look forward to it! I had to miss out on the November show, so I am chomping at the bit to get back on March 26th!
